I bet as soon as you read the title you thought of a mix drink, right? LOL not even close 😉 The snow, rain, and sleet we had left a lot of places that are still melting. The unbalance parking lot where I walk leaves streams of water from the melted snow. Because of the cold nights, everything freezes up. With that being said, I have to constantly look down, as I’m walking so I don’t slip and fall. With the fallen leaves, branches, etc. that’s already on the ground, you get to see some really cool, creative, and interesting art.

The more you look the more you see. While I was walking, I began to survey my surroundings on the ground. I’ll just say it this way, my last lap I grabbed my camera from the car and took photographs along the way… I only had my 35mm prime lens but like they always say, “work with what you have” and that I did. Everything I saw gave me the impression that they were trying to escape the ice; some broke away and some were still trying. The shapes and designs the water/ice formed was as I said before, interesting. You can be totally surprised what you may find if you just look down. Sometimes you just have to appreciate what Mother Nature shares with us 🙂

Gear used: Fujifilm X-Pro2, XF 35MM F/2 R WR lens. Lightroom and Photoshop.

HAPPY SHOOTING!! 🙂 🙂
